    My Homemade Knife

Hi this is my first proper homemade knife
the blade is a stick tang blade with Scandi grind edge made from a metalworking file
the handle is made from antler and oak the oak is from a beam in an old derelict farmhouse so im guessing its a few hundred years old (bloody tough to shape)

The reason im posting this is I want to know your thoughts and opinions would you buy a knife like this? are there improvements i can make?cheers for looking

I like it a lot, looks great! Love the used rustic look of it, I hope you'll make a nice sheath to go with it. I'm currently tempering my next knife, so while I wait I'm going to continue making my wool hunting shirt thingy (like what Dave Canterbury showed how to make, except mine will be grey). I hate waiting!

Good looking blade there. Looks like it's waiting for a trip to the bush. In my opinion that is the best way to figure out what changes you should make to future knives. Go out and use it, see how it cuts, how it carves, how it feels in the hand.
