    Escaped golden eagle in wales

    Hopefully it will head north and meet up with the solitary wild male Golden Eagle that lives in the Lakes, settle down and raise some Eaglets and re-populate the UK ... stunningly beautiful creatures !

    Sadly I believe Eagles mate for life and the Lakeland bird is destined to live a solitary existence. If i remember rightly (and I may be wrong) his partner was poisoned/shot

    I hope so too - it's a shame that they are rare these days.
    Yes indeed - I've only seen them once in person, but they are quite majestic in flight. Makes me wish I had wings .
