If it goes "twang " when you pull the trigger then it's as sapper said,if not it sounds like somethings bust(cocking lever pin?). Paul
I'll strip it down and look at the parts, looks like most things can be found on e bay for it !
Cheers Lads
Stripped it down ordered some parts !
Buffer washer, breach seal, piston o ring, piston head, piston pin ......worth spending a bit of money on it then hopefully go get some rabbits with it ! Looking at the barrel serial number it's from the 70's, not sure if to rub it all down and re paint parts & varnish the stock or just leave it as is
So just waiting on parts then away we go

- You’ll never be lost if you remember that moss always grows on the north side of your compass.
- While the Swiss Army Knife has been popular for years, the Swiss Navy Knife has remained largely unheard of. Its single blade functions as a tiny canoe paddle.

I owned a BSA Mercury .22 years ago. Was brilliant for bunny control Agree with Al, well worth fixing it up!
She is ALIVE got it back together today when the parts arrived, sent a few pellets down range all fine ;-)
Just need now a new rear sight as the one on it is missing windage etc
