    New Knives Rolling Out Of The SB Stables

    Just thought I would share a couple new knives, That will be replacing the NK2 two finger neck knife. These will be put on test at the end of August, by a small group of bushcrafters, to see if one design performs better than the other, or if it's just a matter of style preference.

    Here are the basic designs, cut from 3/16" (4.76mm) 0-1 tool steel...

    Top = LittleBee B
    Bottom = LittleBee F

    Also a commission, designed by the customer (Ian), which is a blade only (blank) order.
    This blade has a very modern appearance to it, and seems to have a very practical profile, which should make it a great all rounder.

    5/32" (3.97mm) 0-1 tool steel...

    Other creations that will be coming onto the site soon, are hand forged steel strikers, for use with flint, quartz, etc.
    So far these have only been made in very limited numbers, but I hope to get a few more of them up for sale in the near future.
    Still trialling various sizes, to try and reach the most practical/user friendly solution.

    As always, any feedback is welcomed, whether it's positive or negative.
    Please feel free to either comment, or send me a PM, if you have any questions/suggestions about any of these items.

    Take care, and stay safe

    Thanks Mike. Found I was getting lots of short lengths of the 3/16" left over from the large survival knives, so decided to make use of them for these. The thicker steel seems to suit the blade design, while giving them a bit more strength at the narrow part of the tang and making them feel more "manly"

    Cheers AL. Not too sure at the minute, but it should be around the £10 - £12 mark, plus P&P. They take an hour or two to make, from start to finish (mostly due to getting used to the new forge I think), so think that's a decent price. Still in the trial period in a way though, because although I find they throw some great sparks, I'd like to hear back from the other people that have got one. That way I can make sure I get the best steel for them, and everyone's happy

    Best use for the bits Adam, isn't too often I have usable scraps left over, but that's a great way to soak up the remaining.
