Cut a nice big Elm Burl today so gonna make a new bowl over the next week.
Heres a couple of pics .
Also some of the latest spoons and a wee whiskey bowl that I just finished today.
In the background ye can see the tools that I use to work the wood with.

I too have an elm burl waiting to be carved, I cut it last year and I still haven't had the time or inspiration as to the design of the cup I wish to carve out of it.

Phil we had a Elm come down here about 3 years ago and its covered in burls .
Real handy that nobody round about seems to want them so I just cut them as an when I need them.
Plenty time on my hands so the carving helps pass my day.
