    Chaffinches

Anyone else noticed how chaffinches seem to be on the increase this year?
Certainly here in the south-east (Kent) there seems to be more than usual this year. Wherever I go I seem to see/hear chaffinches.
Also been seeing more blue tits as well - which is good since numbers have been declining in recent years. Blue tit numbers are still considerably down on many years ago, but more this year than last so the numbers are hopefully going back in the right direction.

They're the most common bird in the UK now.

I learnt that thanks to Ivan's recent Dartmoor meet.
