    Can someone help me recognise this bush please?

    Hi Guys I have all the books and stuff but I'm not sure what this is I think it could be hazel but then again it could be anything knowing me

    So any tips would be great

    Is that a yellow flower? Woody old growth? Dark green new growth?
    Pointing towards winter flowering jasmine if so.... I have one, but bigger, and this is what it looks like at the ass end of winter...

    Don't think it is jasmine, the leaf buds on this are alternate, be interesting if you could roll out one of the larger leaf buds and post a pic

    Not an expert on plants Ben but there was a plant similar to that in my parents garden that was Broom. I much prefer Martin's twiggy though.. Dave
