I'm not much of a fan of Betty von Richmeister myself, but I can agree with the 'Jubilee Wood' Campaign.
The aim is to plant 6 million trees and create hundreds of woods for the diamond jubilee. The tree packs are free.

This is something we are hoping to do with our Scouts this year, just got to find somewhere local to plant them

I planted a couple of birch couple of years ago but my wife managed to kill one of them with the strimmer. ;(
Looks like the other one may be large enough to tap this spring.
