How did you manage to keep warm ? I have a DD hammock but as yet haven't used it and was thinking I would wait for some warmer weather. But you guys are made of sterner stuff.

Sensible use of layering clothing and a snugpak underquilt but only a 3 season, 8 year old sleeping bag. Santa is getting us a Snugpak Elite 4 sleeping bag each for Christmas
Personally I prefer the winter for backpacking. Staying warm adds to the challenge and if you think about it sensibly it's easy, just get out there... try not to get frostbite
Santa will be getting a pm, I hope he has more stock.
