    Mors Kochanski: Bushcraft

My favourite bushcraft/survival book is by far Mors Kochanski's "Bushcraft" (originally "Northern Bushcraft"). This book is a extremely in-depth and comprehensive - and more importantly; it starts from absolute square one!
This is a book that a person, with absolutely no knowledge about bushcraft/survival at all, could bring along, together with maybe a field guide on local flora and fauna, and actually use to bolster his survival efforts.

Mors is, rightfully imho, known as the father of modern bushcraft - and his book should be the first book in any bushcrafter's library. You would litteratly need 4-6 other bushcraft books, from different authors, to cover what Mors has managed to gather into one book.

If you have not read it yet, this should be the nex book you read!

Couldn't agree more Jeep. the information I gleaned from this book, was astounding.
It should be read by everyone interested in Bushcraft, Imho.
The way he puts across his skills, in such simple terms is the way of a true master.

Do you want to be happy or do you want to be normal?

You hit the nail on the head there; Mors is indeed very zen in his ways of bushcraft

I just found a bad review of this book, on Amazon. The only bad review, of this book, I have ever read. It is so funny; the reviewer actually finds the book to be insulting(!?) in the way it starts from absolute square one - and he complains about Mors' drawings, which he finds inaccurate compared to photos (!!??). The reviewer also states that the book is "not practical" (!!!???)

You simply must read it; http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-revi...owViewpoints=1 - This guy must be a troll, at least I hope for him that he is

    Very true.

The reviewer strikes me as the kind of type, who would join a bushcraft course - but get asked to leave, due to constantly intettupring and "correcting" the instructor.
