Mr Robin is Watching You for Christmas!

    Some really beautiful photos folks!

I really love photography, it's not something I delved into in detail, just a hobby but one I love, I've probably taken a phonominal amount of digital photos over the years! (Just checked my 'My Pictures' folder contains 44,632 thousand photos ).

I have got lots of favourites, one set as my background at the moment is this Robin I took during Winter, I like how it captured the moment as this Robin has stuck in my mind from that day whilst I was filming, he was ever so inquisitive even landing on my Tripod and Billycan ... and how he's naturally framed and as I was snapping quite fast I got one shot of him there and the next instant he flew off I got essentially the same pic of him missing from the frame!

    Very good mate!

Last weekend I was picking mushrooms and I was literally less than a foot than a Robin, I was really surprised I could get that close my I was less than an arms reach.

Robins are really sociable birds mate, I have had the same robin follow me for miles and also once fed a robin maggots from my hand when out fishing, what I was surprised to see though on my last outing was a flock of finches (Chaffinches) I think, little pink bellied ones coming within inches of my hands while cooking, looking for scraps and they too stayed with me for ages but they got none of my bannock. lol

I have taken quite a few photos of my local woods, but i think this is my favourite, taken on an early spring dog walk earlier this year.

Every mile on a river takes you further from home than every hundred miles on a road.

I hope thats a birchbark canoe in your pocket.... - I guess i should give some credit to Metal Mug
