    Stesco "Jura" Canteen

I have acquired a number of these 2-man aluminium camping sets and wondered if anybody recognised them or even the brand name?

    Kit contains:
    1x 6.5 ins Saucepan
    1x 7 ins frypan lid
    2x 6.25 ins plates
    2x half pint mugs
1x folding hand grip ( for saucepan or lid)
    1x Leather retaining strap

All in reasonable condition except the leather straps are starting to rot and the mug handles are very flexible! Just wondered if there were any experiences with these before I test one.

Sounds interesting. Would it be possible for you to post photos of the sets?

I use a stesco kettle, 1ltr enclosed design, tapering toward bottom. Has lasted around 10-12 years so far. Handle still doing it's job. gave the pan set to the folks and they use it every trip. No issues apart from the strap, although the straps on my set were vinyl, not leather.

    Ok finally I have pictures!

I hope the pictures are useful. I will set about testing them shortly and will note the outcome here.

Did you have more than one of these sets? Are you up for a trade?
