It's a very nice piece of work, I'd hazard a guess there's a little more belly and a longer handle than the outline of the Kephart style knives I've seen before which is probably a good thing and...
Alox electrician plus has been my EDC since 2007. I don't look after it as well as I ought but it's still a workhorse.
I'd be willing to send a few as well if someone is willing to hold on to them and organise the borrowing.
PM sent re: Nessmuk and Murphy knife.
img 4 is the Murphy knife, it's open to offers.
I have a Canadian belt knife and a 8" blade mora that work as kitchen knives. They're actually my wife's favourites.
Arkansas stone gets used for sharpening, SAK for minor repairs. I also use a...
I think Morgan's style of journalism would be right at home in North Korea. The land where unicorns are real and food is imaginary.
Three further points.
*When the constitutional amendment was written it was quite plausible and logical for an individual to possess exactly the same, or perhaps superior, arms to the army
*It's...
The US was one of the few countries where people were quite free from government. Since 2001 that's been rapidly changed and gun law changes are part of that.
They also don't tackle the real...
I questioned it earlier but I guess you're right about the bubble bursting. It's funny when everyone says they have loved bushcraft since they were kids.
I hope any remaining members pop over here....
His blog is truly excellent. One of the best bushcraft blogs out there - I aspire to write such good posts
Always an important reminder
The above items are still for sale.
I've also got 4 of Mors Kochanski's DVDs, without the original boxes. They are Bush Knots, Clothing and Sleeping Bags, Blades and Sticks as Tools. I'm asking £15...
Did the bubble burst? No-one told me.
It depends what aspect of bushcraft - I've owned about 50-60 on that and related subjects.
The 2 in the pictures above, plus the previously mentioned Wildwood Wisdom are all excellent. There's also...
Welcome aboard. I don't know how to say that in North Eastern vernacular.
I'd like one of those Clactonian pebble choppers, there aren't many tools that pre-date handaxes in Europe. I'd prefer a replica than an "original" of unknown provenance and certainly wouldn't pay...
There's also ghetto kydex - look on BCUSA and there's loads of it. Basically heat moulding plastic milk bottles.
This thread has given me an idea :jumping-joy:
Would we really notice a zombie outbreak? Everyone's plugged in and eyes down anyway :)
I didn't see the wink.
Wiki is better than some think - most websites can suffer from the same problems :) In this era of e-publishing I wonder what will be a legitimate resource in a few years!.

Maybe our definitions of ropework are different http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ropework
Ropework in all its forms is part of bushcraft. I've always wanted to make a fid and awl but I've been too lazy so far. I think para-cord craft is definitely part of BC, but I'm not sure if it needs...
I have to agree with Martin, the Meindl boots are heavy and I'm not sure if I'd buy the same again. I'd actually go for something lighter and smarter as I end up wearing them all winter.
The cost...
Pukko has been sold
I use nylon. It's warm and I don't overnight anywhere in winter.
The differences between synthetics and wool are not so big in daily use and the warm/wet thing is exaggerated...
