I think it's time I got shot of some kit too.
Great for kids or all ages with special kids events.

Good middle of the night all
I've missed you all for a number of years and was wondering who was coming to the RV this year.
Ah, The Cave as it's know.
Bring my cup thing and chair :-)
I was talking about this in the pub the other day. Lat and Lon can be written in so many different ways it can be confusing how to state them, so I wrote this article on the matter.
...
That text 999 and text 112 thing is transparent. I registered on 112 and was confirmed as being so with the 999 service.
You can text it though and in any case, a connected call will give away your location and the fact that you care calling. You could tap SOS if it was all you had. The point I'm trying to make is that...
Or, you can use 112 :-)
You did read the article, right?
Got references for that? I can feel a followup coming on.
Steve
Nice and Simple.
Can your source for that last bit. It would be a very useful addition to the article.
I started looking into the powers of 112 and came up with quite a lot of interesting bits and bobs which I compiled into an article. Did you know you can text it for instance?
...
Well, quite.
The nasty painful one.
I did a write up, since it's now reached 100 votes.

Here's the list:
Ray Mears
Dave Canterbury (Pathfinder)
John 'Lofty' Wiseman
Sir Ranulph Fiennes
Les Stroud
Cookie Monster
The man with the most luck on his side
Bear Grylls
I trust it was you who added him to the list FF.
Mors is as old as Lofty :) I'd love to see them both out there. First thing they'd carve would be a walking stick :)
Here you can find a poll with an almost complete list of survival personalities with that age old question of who would last the longest or get out first.
...
Twas jolly good fun.
What's the decision here? It's not super clear.
I'm game ;-)
I'll happily promote it on my site, blog and social media outlets if you don't mind crediting my company on the page with my photo ;)
We could keep the site capacity out of it by having a Flickr group and then linking pics from it.
